Ceramic 3D printing, as an emerging technology in the additive manufacturing industry, is beginning to play an increasingly important role in fields such as investment casting, orthopedics, dentistry, chemical engineering, and art. The cultivation of talent in additive manufacturing is gradually becoming a demand in the industry.
The Tsinghua ICENTER training center aims to refine teaching concepts, transforming internships into engineering training, and shifting the training model from focusing on learning skills and changing students' mindset to a model that integrates knowledge, abilities, qualities, and innovative practice. The engineering training teaching concept has been refined to 'impart manufacturing engineering knowledge, cultivate engineering practical abilities, experience engineering culture, and further develop innovative thinking and comprehensive qualities,' further establishing a teaching system that integrates engineering training, innovation and entrepreneurship training, and engineering cultural quality training.
Recently, with the support of Beijing Shiwai Technology, the Tsinghua University training center ICENTER has launched engineering training in ceramic 3D printing, particularly focusing on practical courses applied in the casting field. Students learn the principles and characteristics of the latest ceramic 3D printing technology based on their understanding of traditional process flows, as well as how ceramic 3D printing changes traditional craftsmanship, cultivating their ability to solve problems using new technologies.
Through practical operations, students understand which processes ceramic 3D printing applies to, what key points it has, and how it can help solve problems in traditional investment casting, enhancing their curiosity about technology and stimulating their desire to learn. At the same time, it showcases the advantages of rapid manufacturing technology in students' innovation and entrepreneurship activities.
To enable the teachers at the Tsinghua ICENTER engineering training center to better use the equipment for teaching, Beijing Shiwai Technology sent engineers to provide on-site training and guidance on how to use the AUTOCERA-M ceramic 3D printing equipment.
As a Tsinghua alumni enterprise, Beijing Shiwai Technology feels very honored to collaborate with the ICENTER engineering training center, giving back to the alma mater in its area of expertise. In the future, we will continue to work hard to realize our dream: Shiwai Technology, changing the world with high-performance products!
